Ashley Zimiga

Ashley Zimiga is the Founder and Lead Designer behind Slow Down Creative, a Lakota woman-run brand identity and graphic design studio based in Minneapolis, MN. Before launching her own studio, she spent a decade shaping brands at ad agencies across the Twin Cities, working on everything from Fortune 500 giants to B2B, SaaS, and CPG brands. Two years ago, she made the best decision of her career: quitting her full-time agency job to start her own design studio. Burnout was dimming her creativity, and she knew she needed to build something different. Something that valued process, craftsmanship, mindfulness, and design with integrity.

Along with building brands and crafting compelling visuals, she is very passionate about living a life of balance and welcoming rest into her life. Living with this mentality further fuels her work to continue to grow and better herself as an artist and human. It’s a subject she enjoys talking about with other creatives and entrepreneurs in hopes to empower them to also live out their best lives.Ashley named her design studio Slow Down Creative because she believes that when we slow down, we move forward with greater clarity and purpose. Plus, we get to enjoy our lives and everything around us a little bit more. And that is truly a beautiful thing. 🌅🧡
